Basically the closer part of the awning takes the most stress when it comes to rain and such to this part is thicker and more durable than the rest of the awning to deal with this extra stress. The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-468-469 is just the braking assemblies alone and would require you to purchase the drums separately. We have quite a few different options compatible with these assemblies so I would need to know the bolt pattern for your wheels to determine the correct fit for your trailer.
